A side lane in central Patong
The Bird Cage Patong Guesthouse Hotel is listed at 6/1–3 Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road. Agoda places it near Bangla Road and Jungceylon, with the beach also nearby. It is an urban guesthouse option rather than a resort built around grounds or an extensive pool complex.
That central location suits a trip organised around going out, shopping and choosing restaurants as you walk. There is less reason to pay for the address if most of your time will be spent at the hotel itself. Agoda lists Wi-Fi, reception, luggage storage and a restaurant, but room photographs and the booked category remain the best guide to what is actually included in your stay.

Noise is not a simple yes-or-no question
One Tripadvisor guest described the side-road position as a welcome buffer from the busy main street, despite being close to nightlife. A KAYAK summary of guest feedback points in a different direction, mentioning requests for rooms away from the street. Those accounts can coexist: building position, floor and room orientation may change the experience. They do not establish that all rooms are quiet or that every visitor will be disturbed.
Service feedback also warrants care. An Agoda guest account describes a difficult interaction about arrival and the room assignment. It is a single account, not grounds for a blanket judgement about every receptionist, but it makes clear arrival arrangements sensible if you expect to reach the property before your room is ready.
What the location buys you
The Bird Cage is most convincing as a base for central Patong rather than an attraction in its own right. Ask which side of the building your booked room faces, especially if sleep matters more than access to bars. A promise of a quiet room should come from the property for the actual category you are booking; a favourable account from another room cannot supply it.
