Two buildings under one hotel name
Rayaburi’s room location is worth checking before you compare prices. Booking.com describes accommodation in a main building and a separate Loft Wing, about 20 metres apart. That is a small distance, but it changes the relationship between your room and the facilities shown in hotel photographs. A room in the same hotel is not always a room in the same building.
The address is 3/8 Sawatdirak Road in Patong. The beach, restaurants and Bangla Road are the main reasons guests discuss the location positively. You do not need to choose between a remote hilltop hotel and the middle of the nightlife street to stay here. The useful question is which building and room position give you the right balance of access and rest.
What the room photographs do not settle
The Agoda property record lists a mix of room information and leisure facilities, while the booking-platform description distinguishes the two wings. A Tripadvisor guest described a rooftop Jacuzzi and a smaller swimming pool in the opposite building. That is a guest’s account of the arrangement, not a guarantee that every facility is operating in exactly the same way for your dates.
It is particularly important not to treat the Jacuzzi as a private in-room feature unless the booked category says so. A shared rooftop facility and a private bath are different purchases. Likewise, a pool photograph does not establish direct access from a standard bedroom. If swimming is the main reason for choosing Rayaburi, the route from the exact wing matters more than a broad pool icon in the search results.
Location receives clearer praise than every comfort detail
A Trip.com guest who stayed for a week liked access to the beach, convenience shopping, restaurants and a nearby Muay Thai gym. They also felt close enough to Bangla Road without being directly in its busiest atmosphere. That is a useful description for an active stay where you plan to go out repeatedly rather than spend most of the day inside the hotel.
The same guest disliked how open the balcony felt toward the neighbouring room and reported a shower layout that allowed water onto the bathroom floor. These observations belong to that room; they should not become a statement that every balcony lacks privacy or every bathroom floods. They do identify two things that a photograph may not make obvious: separation from your neighbour and how the shower area drains.
A separate Hotels.com guest in February 2026 found the bed very firm and reported noise from neighbouring rooms. Other guests have praised comfort and staff, so the evidence does not support one universal description of the hotel. If a soft mattress or strong sound insulation is essential, the location alone will not answer those needs.
Shared facilities and a practical room choice
One dated guest comment also described early pool noise. For light sleepers, a room close to leisure areas can be a different experience from one farther away. Requesting a quieter position is sensible, but a request is not the same as a guaranteed allocation. Consider a rate’s cancellation terms if the property cannot confirm a feature you regard as essential.
The most convincing reason to choose Rayaburi is access to Patong from Sawatdirak Road, combined with more facilities than a bare guesthouse. The main compromise is that room layout, wing and individual maintenance can produce different experiences under the same hotel name.
Use the exact wing and room category as the basis for the booking. Compare current pictures of that category, check any facility you expect to use, and weigh the location against your tolerance for a firm bed or nearby activity. Rayaburi can work as a convenient Patong base, but it deserves a more specific comparison than simply choosing the lowest rate beside a pool photograph.
