Le Tong is now listed as Porterhouse
The Le Tong Beach Hotel link in the original list leads to the property currently identified as Porterhouse Beach Hotel. Agoda’s current listing and Booking.com both use Porterhouse, while the Booking.com address path retains the older Le Tong name. Use the current hotel name when comparing rooms and arranging transport, and avoid confusing it with another Porterhouse-branded listing.
The property is at Prabaramee Soi 4, toward the northern end of Patong Beach. Tripadvisor’s property description places it across the road from the sand. That makes it a different choice from a hotel well inland, but not a private-beach resort. The public road and the room’s position still sit between a sea-view photograph and your actual route to the water.
What the smaller setting offers
The current Agoda property record describes 26 rooms. That gives it a smaller scale than a large resort complex, with a pool providing an alternative to the sea. A December 2025 guest liked their third-floor room, small balcony and view toward the beach. The same traveller found the night quiet during their stay and enjoyed a simple breakfast and the small bar beside the pool.
Those details describe one stay rather than every room. A balcony does not guarantee an unobstructed sea view, and a quiet December night does not establish year-round sound levels. They do show why someone might choose this kind of property: a manageable base with beach access and a place to sit outside, without needing extensive resort activities.

Recent comments are positive, but not uniform
An October 2026 Agoda guest praised the beach proximity and welcome after a long trip. An August Booking.com guest separately liked the cleanliness and ease of access. Together, these give more substance to the location and service appeal than a single summary score.
A March 2026 Booking.com guest liked the location but felt the hotel was old and could use upkeep, and described an unpleasant check-in interaction while finding other staff more agreeable. That is an individual service experience, not a judgement about every employee. It is still a useful counterweight to the positive welcome described by another traveller.
A room outlook is worth choosing deliberately
Because the beach is close, it is easy to assume the lowest category includes the view you want. That is not established by the hotel name. Compare the exact category’s photographs and written outlook, particularly if a balcony or sea view is your main reason for booking. A room can be conveniently near the beach without facing it.
The third-floor account is also a reminder to confirm access if stairs are a concern. The presence of rooms on several levels does not establish a lift or a step-free route. Ask about the specific room and the path to it rather than assuming that a small beach hotel has the same access arrangements as a larger resort.
Best for a beach-oriented northern Patong stay
Porterhouse is worth considering if you want the northern end of Patong, a pool and a smaller property. It is less compelling if your priority is a large children’s activity programme, extensive dining options or the latest room styling. The recent accounts give the clearest support to the location, with more variation around room age and individual service.
Choose the current Porterhouse listing, match the address, and compare the room outlook and access arrangements that matter to you. That approach preserves the practical attraction of the beach-road location without relying on old Le Tong descriptions or assuming that every room shares the view in one guest’s photograph.
