An inland address, not a beach apartment
Lamai Apartment is on Ratchapathanusorn Road in Patong. Booking.com describes air-conditioned accommodation with private bathrooms, desks and televisions, while Agoda lists a kitchen among the facilities. That kitchen listing does not establish that every guest room has its own kitchenette. Anyone planning to cook should check the room description rather than treating the property name as a promise of self-catering.
The inland setting is worth noticing before looking at the price. Booking.com places Patong Beach within walking reach, but this is not accommodation on the sand or directly across the beach road. A lower nightly rate therefore needs to be weighed against the route you will use to reach the coast and evening plans.

Condition gets sharply different reactions
The guest evidence is uneven. A February 2025 Google review reproduced by Wanderlog described an old room, worn furnishings and an untidy reception. Other comments on that page praised low prices or cleanliness, but several of those favourable accounts date back to 2018. They should not be read as a recent assurance about housekeeping.
Traveloka also displays contrasting guest accounts, including praise for staff and a complaint that the room differed from the advertisement and had not been cleaned. These are individual experiences rather than proof that every room has the same problems. Together, they make current room photographs and recent feedback more useful than the overall star category.
A cautious budget choice
The practical appeal is straightforward: a basic room in Patong, away from a full beachfront-resort price structure. The uncertainty is equally specific. It concerns maintenance and consistency, not simply the absence of luxury extras. For a longer stay, clarify the exact room, cooking arrangements and housekeeping service before committing to a non-refundable booking. A traveller expecting a dependable serviced apartment may find the evidence less reassuring than the name suggests.
