Central outside, quieter for some guests inside
Tony Resort is on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road, so its useful feature is how much of Patong you can reach from a central base. The beach, shopping and Bangla Road are the recurring reference points in guest comments. Yet a Booking.com guest described the rooms as peaceful despite the surrounding activity, and a separate Trip.com guest staying in July 2026 also liked the quieter atmosphere inside. That combination is more relevant than simply calling the hotel centrally located.
It still is not a guarantee that every room will be silent. The resort contains a choice of budget rooms, larger categories and rooms closer to the pool. Someone returning late from Bangla Road and someone planning an early family breakfast may value a different part of the building. When comparing rates, look at the booked room category and its position rather than assuming the cheapest offer has the setting shown in the pool photographs.
The room names make a difference
The official accommodation list includes Standard, Economy Double or Twin, Small Double, Deluxe, Deluxe Triple, pool-view and pool-access rooms, plus larger options for four people. This is a wider range than the word resort might suggest. Small Double and Economy are not interchangeable with a Deluxe just because a review praises a spacious room.
There is a reason to be cautious about exact floor areas. The hotel’s overview text and its individual category descriptions show different measurements for some rooms. Instead of repeating one number as certain, the sensible comparison is the current listing for the exact category you will reserve. For a family needing extra sleeping space, that is especially important: check the bed arrangement and allowed occupancy, not just whether the photograph contains a sofa.
A September 2026 Trip.com review illustrates the problem with relying on category labels in reviews. The entry is labelled Small Double, while the guest’s text praises a Deluxe room. An upgrade or a listing mismatch may explain the difference, but the reason is not established. That comment can support the guest enjoying their stay; it cannot establish that every Small Double is large.

A pool you may actually use
The pool is a regular positive in the guest material, not merely an item in an amenity list. The official website also distinguishes a room overlooking it from one with direct access. Choose pool access for convenience if that arrangement suits you, rather than expecting a private pool. Travelling with small children makes the door-to-water arrangement something to think through before paying extra.
One Economy guest in August 2026 enjoyed the stay but found the route to the pool confusing. The same guest felt the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed. These are useful room-level observations, although they are not evidence that the whole resort has an access or cooling problem. They suggest two practical questions at arrival: where the pool entrance is from your room, and how the airflow is controlled.
Breakfast and daily convenience
The resort has an on-site restaurant and pool bar, and the official facilities list includes a car park. That is helpful when organising pickups in a busy central area. Free Wi-Fi is listed by the booking platform, but an amenity listing alone says little about whether a particular room is suitable for long video calls.
Breakfast opinions are more measured than the praise for the location and pool. A July 2026 Trip.com guest found the selection limited but sufficient. That is one person’s assessment, so it should not be turned into a claim that breakfast is poor. It does mean the breakfast supplement deserves its own price comparison, especially if you usually eat a light meal and plan to be out early.
Tony Resort makes sense for travellers who want central Patong without giving up a pool and an internal place to pause. Compare the budget and Deluxe categories properly, ask for a room position that matches your sleeping habits, and keep the restaurant or pool photograph separate from the room you are actually buying.
