A central address with resort space
Patong Resort Hotel combines a central Patong location with grounds and swimming pools rather than offering only a room above a busy street. The official website describes 325 rooms, with categories running from Superior to Grand Suite. That makes it a sizeable established property, and the exact room matters when interpreting the experiences of other guests.
The location is the obvious reason to consider it. Both official information and guest reports place the beach, shopping and nightlife within walking reach. A recent guest described the back entrance as useful for getting towards the beach, while another liked access to Jungceylon and Bangla Road. For a holiday where you expect to go out several times a day, those routes may be more useful than a distant resort with a longer list of facilities.
Choose the category before judging value
The official room list includes Superior, Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Executive and Grand Suite. All are described as non-smoking. Booking.com lists balconies, a refrigerator or minibar and bathrooms with bathtubs in its general room description, but individual booking details should settle the facilities included in your category. A general property paragraph is not a substitute for the selected room specification.
A family in a Premium Deluxe room in September 2025 liked the room furniture but was less enthusiastic about breakfast. Other visitors in Superior and Deluxe rooms praised their stays. Those accounts describe different allocations. If room size, bathroom access or proximity to the pool matters, compare that directly rather than assuming the highest overall score describes every bedroom in the same way.

Two pools and different places to eat
The Booking.com property listing identifies two outdoor swimming pools. The official site describes Pavarotti’s poolside Italian restaurant, The Marble Lounge and The Roof Top Steak House. This gives guests options for spending time inside the property while remaining close to restaurants outside.
For a family or a couple with different holiday routines, that flexibility is useful. One person can spend an afternoon by the pool while another goes shopping, without turning the whole day into a transport exercise. It is still worth checking the opening times and meal inclusions for your stay. Having a restaurant on site does not mean every rate includes breakfast, dinner or drinks, and a rooftop venue should not be read as a guarantee of a sea view from the bedroom.
An established hotel, not a promise of newness
Guest comments across 2025–2026 repeatedly mention the location, pool and convenient access. The accounts also contain smaller cautions. An October 2025 Superior-room visitor enjoyed the stay but found check-in and check-out slow. Another family found the resort comprehensive but a little dated. These observations are compatible with a well-established hotel whose appeal is its practical combination of space and position.
They are useful if expectations are kept specific. A traveller looking for entirely new interiors may judge the same room differently from someone prioritising a pool and an easy evening walk. If you have a departure transfer booked, leave a reasonable margin for settling the bill rather than assuming checkout will be instant. A dated décor comment should not be turned into a claim about cleanliness, which several other guests praised.
Who gets the most from this location?
Patong Resort suits someone who wants the convenience of central Patong without giving up grounds and pool time. It can make particular sense for a mixed trip with shopping, beach days and evenings out. There is less reason to pay for this central location if you intend to spend the entire stay in a secluded coastal setting away from town.
Compare the exact category, cancellation terms and meals first, then think about the route you will use most: beach, mall, pool or nightlife. The hotel is easier to evaluate through those everyday movements than through a broad claim that it is either luxurious or dated. Its strongest selling point is that several parts of a Patong holiday can be reached from one base.
