Formerly Aloha Villa, this central Patong hotel combines a rooftop pool with walkable food and shopping; sound insulation is worth weighing against the location.

The old Aloha Villa name leads to Days Inn

Aloha Villa is a legacy name for the property now known as Days Inn by Wyndham Patong Beach Phuket. The Phuket News reported the rebranding in 2016, and the current Traveloka listing also identifies the former name. Booking under the present name helps avoid comparing an old Aloha room photograph with a newly described Days Inn category.

The appeal is a central Patong base rather than a remote beach retreat. The address is on Rat Uthit Song Roi Pi Road, and recent guests repeatedly mention nearby food, shops and everyday services. This kind of position suits people who plan to go out frequently and do not want every meal or short errand to require a car.

A rooftop pool, not a sprawling garden resort

Wyndham’s property description lists a rooftop pool, on-site dining and a fitness centre available around the clock. The hotel’s own website identifies the rooftop venue as Skylis Rooftop Pool & Bar. That gives guests a place to swim or pause above the street without needing the footprint of a large landscaped resort.

The practical question is how much time you expect to spend there. If the pool is for a short dip before going out, the rooftop arrangement can be enough. A family wanting a large play-pool complex and extensive grounds is comparing a different kind of property. The presence of a pool is useful, but it is not a substitute for checking its layout and the setting around it.

Recent guests like the convenience

A September 2026 solo traveller found the room comfortable and well maintained, and liked the helpful staff and access to Patong. Another guest travelling with friends in August also praised the location and service, while wanting a television with streaming features. These accounts support the central location and the possibility of a comfortable stay without implying that every room has the same equipment.

A returning family guest from July 2026 specifically liked being near halal food, a mall, a pharmacy and a convenience store. That is useful detail for someone whose priority is simple daily logistics. It is not a certification of the hotel kitchen or a claim that every nearby restaurant meets a particular dietary requirement. Dining needs should be checked with the individual venue.

Convenience does not settle every comfort issue

Sound insulation is one of the recurring topics on Trip.com’s review page. That makes noise an appropriate consideration alongside the central location, although a topic label does not identify the conditions in every room. Travellers who sleep lightly should ask about room position rather than assume that a renovated room necessarily has strong sound isolation.

There are also less positive individual experiences. One July 2026 guest liked the location and price but reported a kettle-cleanliness problem and weak toilet flushing. That account should stay tied to the guest and room concerned. It is a reason to inspect the room on arrival and report a specific issue promptly, not a basis for labelling all rooms dirty. Other recent accounts praised cleanliness, so both sides belong in the decision.

Making the central location work for you

The Days Inn is a sensible comparison for solo travellers, couples or friends who want to explore Patong on foot and still have a rooftop pool to return to. A guest who mostly eats outside may value the surrounding restaurants more than an elaborate hotel breakfast. Someone planning long days inside the room may care more about noise and television equipment.

When comparing offers, use the current Days Inn name and exact room category, and separate included meals from optional supplements. The central address is the clear strength. Whether it is the right buy depends on how you balance that convenience with the room position, sound insulation and facilities you personally expect to use.
